Study GI embryology, gut anatomy, portal circulation, digestion, nutrient absorption, microbiology, metabolism and clinical pathology—competency by competency.
Reference alignment: The uploaded Ontario Biomedical Reference Guide (January 2026) supplies the GI competency list (printed pp. 7–8), nine condition groups (p. 15) and textbook bibliography (pp. 23–24). The detailed teaching, cases and questions are new independent educational content. The historical 10–12% gastrointestinal weighting is not a confirmed current CANRA requirement. This is not a substitute for accredited textbooks or clinical supervision.
